The Lonely MoonI looked up at the sky
I wondered if the moon with all its beauty
Does it feel alone?
Does it look upon those who's hearts ache
As they view that glimmer & shine
It lights the night the way love once shone upon me
Now wandering in darkness as I stumble
Always seeking and never finding
What I loved most
Only a deep pain that fills my soul
A loneliness that makes tears roll from my eyes
But a distant echo says...
You can't go back
You can't return to what was never yours
Shinning moon only you see
how my heart bleeds for what used to be
How do I release my soul
From this isolated prison I've locked myself into
How do I turn away and just forget?
How do I live when deep inside I am dead...
Its been so long and yet I cry
Like a wounded animal that does not die
I look up at the moon and the moon cries

Those Friday AfternoonsAfter another week of searching for a job I came home and sit in the chair in front of the computer. I opened the front door that allows me to look at passing traffic and people going by and I felt this feeling hard to describe. Its peaceful yet there is a small bit of sadness. Another week of things and conversations and activity but still when I come home and I feel alone, I guess maybe I am just tired a little more than usual. I tried making myself busy by washing dishes and cleaning but there is so much free time. I used to think that would be ideal to just sit and have nothing to unless I wanted to, I miss getting up early and getting ready for work, the drive there and seeing the morning so fresh as I slowly walked into that building that had become my second home. Taking that big key chain that held so many keys on it, remembering to lock the door and rush to turn off the alarm system before it would go off. Then repeating the process at the end of the day and leaving
